I’m delighted that “Katherine Wheel” has been selected for the 2019 Frankston Open Art Exhibition. The exhibition will be at the Frankston Art Centre in the Cube Gallery at 37 Davey Street, Frankston and will be on display from the 9th of August to the 6th of September.
This years theme is Women in Art, a topic that has been close to my heart since 2004, when I completed my Honours year in Design, writing about how women are depicted in Australian Advertising. Women have been the object of art for centuries and now women stories are being shared with the broader cultural landscape as well. I feel grateful to be able to share my work and my story with the Frankston community and look forward to seeing how other artists have approached this theme.
